MONDAY May 13, 2019

7:30 - 8:00 a.m. Continental Breakfast served in room W525 for WEMBA and MEMBA students and guests.
8:00 a.m. EMBA students depart the EMBA suite and go to line up. Guests may go to find seats on the Main Quad for the University Ceremony.
8:15 a.m.

Graduates: You must be at the Main Quad to line up in alphabetical order by program. You will gather at the Math and Science Building by program (MBA, EvMBA, MEMBA, WEMBA), get in alphabetical order and march in at the appropriate time following our faculty marshals. There will be staff members to help you get assembled.

Families: Please find a seat on the main quad when you arrive. You may want to look in the graduation program to figure out where the Business School will be seated on the quad. If you received passes for special seating for guests, ask an usher for directions.

9:00 - 10:30 a.m.

Emory University Ceremony (for all programs)

Following the ceremony, graduates will recess following the Marshals off the quad. All families and graduates will proceed to the Goizueta Business School for a Graduation Brunch.

Graduates: Follow the Marshal who will direct you to march off the quad as a group and proceed to the Goizueta Business School for a Graduation Brunch.

Families: Join your graduate at Goizueta Business School on the Patterson Green.

Immediately following Emory University Commencement Ceremony, approximately 11am

MBA Processional and Diploma Ceremony
Woodruff Physical Education Center

This ceremony will be webcast.   Link will be available on May 13.

Shuttle buses and golf carts will be available.

Graduates and Families will proceed to the Woodruff PE Center. Students will line up on the track in alphabetical order by program. Families will enter into the PE Center through the East Door, opposite the Dobbs University Center. Families will walk through the PE Center and use the central staircase to go to the first floor. The ceremony will take place inside the basketball arena.

There will be a professional photographer taking pictures of each student as he or she receives a diploma. Please remain seated for the entire ceremony.

Graduates: To get your diploma, your row will be directed to stand up by the marshals. You walk to the right side of the stage and hand your index card to the person at the podium. You immediately start up the stairs. You should be on the edge of the stage when your name is read. You will shake hands with the Dean and receive your diploma. This is VERY IMPORTANT - When shaking hands be careful! The dean will be shaking over 700 hands. If you wear a ring that has a sharp surface, please remove it before the ceremony. A professional photographer will take your picture. You will then return to your seat and sit down. At the conclusion of the ceremony, you will be dismissed.
